Bailiff Shoots Man in Head
According to the AP, in DENTON, Texas, A
bailiff at a courthouse in northern Texas
fatally shot a convicted bank robber when
the man tried to grab another bailiff's gun.
Courtney Jermaine Bourda was being escorted
from the courtroom to a holding area in the
Denton County Courts building when he grabbed
for Officer Kent McKee's gun and wrestled
him to the floor.
{Administrator's Note} This is sort of like
a scuffle I had with the police over a can
of mace; I grabbed the officer's wrist to
stop him from macing me in the face. None
of the 4 eyewitnesses got it right! They
testified that the officer grabbed my wrist.
Only the officer who was macing me and I
testified that I grabbed his wrist. Was Courtney
Jermaine Bourda really trying to grab the
officer's gun, or was that the cover story?
Since the witness is dead, who is to testify?
A second bailiff, Officer Emmett Huschke,
fatally shot Bourda in the head with a .45-caliber
pistol, Kevin Patton of the Denton County
Sheriff's Department said.
{ Administrator's Note } If the bailiff was
close enough to shoot a man in the head,
couldn't he have also shot the man in the
leg or in the arm? Isn't it indicative of
a society with an extremely low IQ to allow
a person that will be going to jail for a
long time to be in a position where he can
grab a lethal weapon? This is gross negligence
on the part of the state and the state should
be liable for a million dollars to the relatives
of the victim.
Bourda, 23, was on trial on charges of kidnapping
and assaulting a public servant relating
to a 1999 bank robbery. He had already been
convicted and sentenced to life in prison
for the robbery.
Texas Ranger Tracy Murphree said a preliminary
investigation shows the shooting was necessary
and justified.
{ Administrator's Note } Why are the police
entitled to investigate their own? Maybe
the Taliban should try Osama bin Laden!
The jury had just been escorted out of the
courtroom for an afternoon break, said Lee
Ann Breading, an assistant district attorney
who was in her office across from the courtroom.
Bourda was not wearing handcuffs.
"Correct procedure was being followed
to a T," Patton said. "You cannot
let a jury see a defendant in handcuffs,
and he was not cuffed."
Bourda died at the scene, Patton said.

Hemingway son dies in county jail cell
Hemingway son dies in county jail cell Police
say cause was heart disease
{ Administrator's Note } Why are the police
entitled to investigate their own? Maybe
the Taliban should try Osama bin Laden!
The herald goes on to say that: Gregory Hemingway,
youngest son of famed writer Ernest Hemingway,
died of natural causes at a Miami-Dade County
jail, police said Wednesday. Gregory Hemingway,
69, who often dressed as a woman and went
by the name of Gloria, was found dead in
a private cell at the Miami-Dade Women's
Detention Center at 5:45 a.m. Monday, said
Janelle Hall, a spokeswoman for the county's
corrections department. ``He was discovered
by an officer. He was getting ready to go
to court that morning, and when the officer
summoned him to go to court, he was lying
there,'' Hall said.
{ Administrator's Note } Is the AP so brainwashed
that they can't see the potential for police
brutality here? Other opinions are necessary.
The newspaper article followed with a long
paragraph delineating , Gregory Hemingways'
public nudity; the reason for his arrest.
Then they speculated on his mental state.
{ Administrator's Note } The man is dead,
isn't it bad taste to libel the man?
Miami-Dade police spokesman Juan DelCastillo
said homicide detectives had ruled the death
a natural one after receiving an autopsy
report. Cause: hypertension and cardiovascular
disease, he said.
{ Administrator's Note } Why are the police
entitled to investigate their own? Maybe
the Taliban should try Osama bin Laden! The
newspaper article then takes a couple of
paragraphs to describe some of the sad things
in Gregory Hemingways life, as if we shouldn't
be upset with his death. Why is the newspaper
pimping the police?
Police Officers' Big Mouth Precipitates Teen
Suicide!

Police approached Wayman's car at about midnight,
as the teens sat in a lot next to a beer
distributorship. Willinsky, the son of then-Police
Chief Joseph Willinsky, and Officer Thomas
Hoban took them to the station on underage
drinking charges. The 17-year-old had been
drinking at the party. Scott Willinsky later
testified that both boys conceded, under
questioning, that they had stopped to have
sex. The 17-year-old disputes making the
statement. Willinsky told Wayman that if
he didn't tell his grandfather he was gay,
Willinsky would do so, according to the lawsuit.
Later that morning, police dropped Wayman
off at the home he shared with his grandfather.
The lawsuit states: "At his home, Marcus
Wayman, depressed and disconsolate over the
threats and accusations, and feeling that
the defendant police officers would carry
through on their threats and thereby stigmatize
him, ruin his reputation, and anger the main
authority figure in his family, secured a
firearm in the house and, sometime before
6 a.m., committed suicide."
{ Administrator's Note } The police should
be trained to keep their stupid mouths shut
or face negligence suits.
