New Massachusetts Brutality Stories

Defrauded by a bank, John Sweeney, a former Green Beret, sues the bank and wins $4,000,000. The Federal Courts overturned this verdict without a trial and thereby committed treason to the constitution. (By perverted logic, or convenient illiteracy, the courts rationalized that the constitution doesn't mean what it says.)

John thereby loses the home and property that has been owned and occupied by his family for the 20th century. He protests the decision by staying in his home until forcefully evicted. This gets him a jail sentence -- again without a trial -- clearly in treason to the constitution. The judge, like the serpent in Genesis, reasoned some other tree of the knowledge of right and wrong was more significant than the constitution.

John went to prison. He then went to solitary.

Forgive my emotion on this story, but I have experienced a similar loss and a subsequent trampling of my rights by the courts.

JOHN SWEENEY PLACED IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT AND PUT UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR UNDISCLOSED REASONS.

When questioned as to why, no answers have been given. Requests by family members for information go unanswered. No information has or will be given to family members or attorneys. After family repeatedly expressed their concern to prison officials and no information was given, a family friend went to the prison to see him. She found him in shackles, unshaven, looking "haggard and worn." He does not know why he is in solitary confinement or why he is under investigation.

Case manager Lynn Baczewski stated that she does not have the authority to explain to him or the family why he is there.

John Sweeney self surrendered to federal marshalls on a "Contempt of Court" conviction August 23, 1999, and was placed in a maximum security prison in Plymouth, MA. He has appealed the court decision.

After being in Plymouth County Correctional Facility in maximum security from August 23 to October 5, he was moved to Devens Federal Medical Camp Facility, a low security confinement. The family have just learned he is under investigation for unknown reasons.

PLEASE KNOW HOW MUCH John, and all of the family appreciate your prayers and continued support, The appeal is moving forward as scheduled.

He is a political prisoner today; for reasons that he has the courage to stand up for his Constitutional Rights.

In addition to sentencing him to 120 days in Jail, he was ordered to remain in Massachusetts under virtual house arrest, only allowed to leave by approval of the Judge and after submitting a detailed itinerary as to what he is doing, who he is meeting with , where, when etc.

Although the sentence was stayed pending an appeal, John Sweeney self-surrendered to the federal court and U. S. Marshals on Monday, August 23, 1999.

John and Rhetta are continuing their work in Washington D.C. Rather than remain indefinitely as a political prisoner in Massachusetts, and being forced to submit names and details of their Congressional work and support base, John has chosen to serve the court ordered time in prison while Rhetta pursues the Congressional work in Washington.
